Not
even the kicking of a football in Spain, escapes racism, as
football managers and supporters alike manifest a deeply rooted
psyche of hatred towards black people by making racist remarks
or behaving in an all too common ‘monkey-aping-fashion’.
In
October during a training session of Spain’s football
team, the manager Luis Aragones was “recorded on Spanish
television using racist language” in reference to Thierry
Henry the French Striker whilst trying to motivate his striker,
Jose Antonio Reyes, saying,
“…tell that black shit
that you are better than him. Tell him from me. You’re
the best”.
Then
in November during England’s Under-21 football match
against Spain, Carlton Cole, Darren Bent and Glen Johnson
were subjected to racial abuse from fans including monkey
chants. Next in line for Spain’s fans apish behaviour
and monkey chanting were the senior England footballers, Ashley
Cole and Shaun Wright.
Following
closely behind and ever-true to the English nature and psyche,
Jason Perryman, 22, from Lawson Street in Chorley, during
a football match between Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham subjected
Dwight Yorke to “monkey
chants and …gesturing, imitating a monkey using his
arms moving up and down in that fashion to his armpits and
making ‘ooh ooh ooh’ monkey noises”.
Jason
Perryman has since admitted in court to the offence of ‘racially
aggravated public disorder’.
Clearly,
there were too many Spanish fans 'acting the fool' to be confronted
for the Under-21 and Senior football teams, but Dwight Yorke
manifestly upset, confronted Jason Perryman about his behaviour.
What
is it about such ‘apish’ behavior that is manifested
by Europeans, and trying to associate it with people of African
descent? Is it ‘atypical’ behaviour reminiscent
of the nature of European people reflecting the age-old-adage
– ‘I’ll be a monkey’s uncle’?
Could
it be that Europeans in Spain and England were acting according
to their ancestral roots given their acceptance that they
originated from monkeys?
Black
football players and ‘black’ people in general
need to wake up and realize that the characteristic behaviour
of Europeans mimicking the behaviour of monkeys has nothing
to do with black skin, but is a manifestation of a deeply
rooted desire, to act out their ‘true nature’
and act like their monkey ancestors from where 'Charles Darwin'
says they originate.
On
the other hand such behaviour should serve as a wake-up call
to black people in general, that Europe and this Island-nation
is not as multicultural as one would like to believe or as
politicians and ‘politically correct’ persons
would have us believe it to be. |
