Anticolonial Media © 2004-2008: Israel's Plan to Steal Iraq's Oil

With no ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ (WMD) being found in Iraq, what was the purpose of this illegal and immoral war against Iraq?At the end of the beginning of the war the question about WMD is still being asked, “...where are they, Mr. Blair?” Media reports; television, radio and newspapers, suggested that the only reason for the warmongering was because George Bush and Tony Blair wanted to get their hands on Iraq’s oil.

What are Britain and America’s national interests in the Middle East? Is it the upholding of regimes that are acquiescent with British and American foreign policy, thus enabling the acquisition of cheap oil? Or, is it the security of the State of Israel, and why?

During the first Gulf War in 1991, it was reported by the media that Iraq had fired ‘Scud’ missiles into Israel, and at the behest of America, Israel did not retaliate. Israel’s non-peaceful existence since its inception in 1948 has been secured militarily and financially, by America.

Having acquired the land from Britain, who held the Mandate of Palestine from 1917 until 1948, ‘European Ashkenazi Jews’ persecuted by fellow Europeans, occupied the stolen land from the Palestinians, and has served until today as a military fortification and beachhead, for Western strategic interests in the Middle East region.

Why Attack Syria?

With Iraq almost disarmed totally, since 1991 by UN Weapons Inspectors, and the illegal and immoral bombing of Iraq and its people by Britain and America, the War on Terrorism, is potentially about to be expanded, as Israel urges America to take action against Syria.

According to the Israeli Defence Minister, Shaul Mofaz speaking to the Maariv and reported in the Financial Times, 14/4/03, “We have a long list of issues that we are thinking of demanding of the Syrians and it is proper that it should be done through the Americans.”

Whilst this ‘Wag the dog’ mentality by Israel is being used to potentially expand the war, under the guise of a ‘War on terrorism,’ a surreptitious and sinister plan is afoot to steal Iraq’s oil, as “Plans to build a pipeline to siphon oil from newly conquered Iraq to Israel are being discussed between Washington, Tel Aviv and potential future government figures in Baghdad.”

According to the "Israeli Minister for National Infrastructure, Joseph Paritzky speaking to the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz…the paper quotes him as saying that the pipeline would cut Israel’s energy bill drastically – probably by more than 25 percent – since the country is currently largely dependent on expensive imports from Russia".

In order for Israel to get the oil from Iraq, the planned pipeline must go via Jordan. According to the Observer newspaer, the Israeli Minister for National Infrastructure, Joseph Paritzky "is believed to have approached officials in Amman [Jordan] on 9 April this year," to discuss these plans.

As the war expands to other countries and with such devious scheming being revealed, and the veracity of the objectives of this war being so unclear, is there any reason why we the citizens of this nation should entrust the lives of our youth, into the hands of this government to die?
