Blair Attacks Face Veil: What's The Motive
By Olusola Odesanya-Muhammad, Thu, 18/10/06 3:01

So Tony Blair has waded into the debate on whether women professing Islam should remove the 'full veil' thus backing up his Minister, Jack Straw. But, when did Tony Blair, the British Government and protagonists of the non-veil policy become the moral authority on standards of dress and what women should and should not wear?

What is the real motive for this attack on women who decide to cover their faces? Is it really about the prevention of 'face-to-face' discussion or the integration of Muslim women into British Society or is the real motive a desire for 'Muslim women' who adhere to the strict moral precepts of Allah and the nature in which they were created, to be disrespected and seen as other women of the world, whom men in this society feel they can 'cat-call' and talk to in any disrespecting manner that they feel.

Let us never forget that in warfare one of the objectives of the enemy of Islam is to spoil and ruin the woman, so that she becomes fashioned in his (War-Mongering) image.

Whilst legislation exists in this nation against nudity and indecent exposure I have never heard Tony Blair or any Government Minister decry the lewd and naked portrayal of, primarily, Caucasian woman on the bill-boards, television screens, London Underground posters or on 'Page 3' of the Sun newspaper, which are promoted the length and breadth of this nation.

Thus it appears that the ultimate desire of the protagonists of this debate is to disrobe women who desire to live a life of righteous and pure conduct, so that the world's number one mysogonist, the Caucasian male, can be free to treat their and other women of the world, the way he treats his own woman.

Last year Andrew Anthony, writing for The Observer Newspaper quoted Chapter 25, Verse 31 of the Holy Quran in his article in relation to the Niquab (Muslim Veil). However he failed to give the quotation context and omitted the full text of the verse including the preceeding verse, which deals with men asking them, also, to lower their gaze.

The context of the injuction was given by Allah, to protect the society from immorality, which is the norm here in the UK and the Western Hemisphere.

In this decadent society, women and men are seen as objects of meat and lust, neither respecting the sanctity of each other, where freedom is granted for either to interact and copulate without regard to civilised behaviour.

The result of such behaviour is a blinding effect thus reducing people to live below the navel and exist on the same plane as the aninal. When in fact 'Man' is Divine and is created to reside in the elevated state of being the highest manifestation of Allah (God's) creation.

To many women of this nation it is considered the norm to walk about flimsily-dressed, are happy at being the object of flattering-attention and love vocal adulation which tickles the confidence-emotional-boosting ego.

There is no promotion of a virtuous dignified woman, where the woman is free to walk the streets of this nation free from derogatory, insulting and meaningless expressions that keep the members of this nation on the lower level of the beast reveling in sexual desire, promiscuity, fornication and adultery.

There is no desire to stop Caucasian women at festive periods from sitting atop photocopiers naked and disseminating the photocopies around the office. There is no desire to stop the proliferation of pornagraphic magazines on the shelves of stores or over the Internet.

There is no desire to enfore the precepts of the very Bible, this Nation says is the pillar of its 'Christian' existence. Where is the desire to end intimacy on the television screens, yet Jack Straw is concerned about a Muslim woman covering her face whilst in his surgery and now the Prime Minister of this Nation supports him!

It’s the face veil today. Tomorrow it’s the way Muslim women dress, covering-up by hiding their adornments from prying and lascivious eyes. For this is the real motive of the attack on the Muslim face-veil.

Whilst no injunction is given in the Holy Qur'an for a woman to cover her face, in any society the sanctity and preservation of the life of the woman must be foremost in the minds of the Government and the Society. Instead of Government Ministers going on the offensive and attacking cultures whose women try to live within 'imposed traditions' and who offer a moral imperative for the benefit of the country.

Ultimately, anything that corrupts the life-stream of the woman, corrupts the way and life of that nation and it is clear that the life-stream of this Nation has been utterly corrupted.
